Baddow and Galleywood u3a is a vibrant, lively and friendly group of people who are retired or part time working. The u3a offers the opportunity for members to come together to share and continue their life long interest in learning, exploring ideas, developing new skills and in addition promote friendship and mutual aid. It is a volunteer organisation in which members are encouraged to learn, enjoy life and have fun.
We have a wide range of Interest Groups which include , Art Appreciation, Gardening, Local History, Mahjong, Music Performing, Languages, Photography, Pickleball, Rambling, Strollers, Table Tennis, Transport, Walking, Weekenders and several more.
We hold a regular monthly General Meeting at the Great Baddow Millennium Centre on the third Wednesday of the month. We have a speaker or activity and then move onto the social side of our u3a where members have every opportunity to meet up with friends old and new in our u3a Park View Cafe.
‘The University of the Third Age’ is our umbrella organisation. We are one of 1100 u3a’s throughout Britain . We are a registered charity.
Become a member and you will have the opportunity to exercise your brain and body, make new friends and find life suddenly becomes very interesting and great fun.
