The Theatre Outings Group is a joint group with Chelmsford u3a.  It offers members regular trips to London and regional theatres, including venues such as the Southend Cliffs Pavilion. We aim to organise an outing once per month and are often able to secure excellent discounts on tickets for popular musicals and plays.

Where possible, we arrange matinee performances and provide coach travel, with pick‑up and drop‑off points at Chelmer Village, Chelmsford City Centre, and Writtle. Coaches take us directly to the theatre door and collect us again at the end of the performance.  Occasionally, we offer ticket‑only options for those who prefer to travel independently, for example by train.

All bookings must be paid for in advance via the Chelmsford u3a bank account. Please note that cancellations can only be refunded if someone on the waiting list is able to take your place.

The group is open to Baddow & Galleywood and Chelmsford u3a members only; we are unable to include friends or family members.
